Qualifications

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program.
  • 5+ years' experience as a PT in high-performance environments.
  • Current CPR certification including AED.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain Secret security clearance.
  • At least one advanced certification in physical therapy.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate Aircrew records for treatment requirements.
  • Perform tests and document findings for treatment revisions.
  • Administer treatments and assist Aircrew in achieving goals.
  • Update treatment plans and reevaluate patients as necessary.
  • Document work in electronic records.
  • Comply with all relevant protocols and interact with other medical services.
  • Educate on injury prevention and recovery strategies.

Job Summary:

Exos is hiring a Tactical Physical Therapist to work with military personnel to prevent potential injuries associated with flying and maneuvering aircraft. This is a great opportunity to gain valuable, resume-building experience in a tactical setting while working with fighter Aircrew to optimize their physical readiness and long-term health. Tactical Physical Therapists will work as part of a multi-disciplinary performance team and perform the following duties:

  1. Reviews and evaluates Aircrew records to determine physical therapy treatment requirements
  2. Performs tests, measurements, and evaluations and records findings to aid in developing and/or revising the treatment or training program
  3. Administers appropriate treatment as indicated, and instructs, motivates, and assists Aircrew to achieve their goals
  4. Updates treatment plan and/or reevaluates patients as needed to ensure optimal outcomes
  5. Documents work performed in approved electronic record systems
  6. Complies with all DHA, DoD, and MTF protocols
  7. Interacts and consults with other medical services
  8. Educates Aircrew and leadership on injury prevention, ergonomics, and recovery strategies

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy from a CAPTE-accredited program
  • 5+ years' experience as a PT in collegiate, professional, Olympic, tactical (military), aerospace industry, or similar environment supporting high-performance man-machine interaction, with recency within the last 2 years
  • Current CPR certification including AED from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
  • Current (or ability to obtain and maintain) Secret security clearance (T3 background investigation)
  • At least one of the following certifications: ABPTS OCS or SCS; Orthopedic or Sports residency / Fellowship; or Advanced Dry Needling Certification (Level 2) and Orthopedic Manual Therapy (OMT) Certification
