Job summary

The apprenticeship provides a Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND qualification, with online tutoring and dedicated tutor support to help you progress through the programme. Expect a busy role with ongoing training and development.

Qualifications

• Apprenticeship leads to Level 3 Teaching Assistant SEND Apprenticeship standard.
• Training includes monthly remote tutorials and tutor support.
• Pre-employment checks including DBS and right-to-work checks will be completed.

Responsibilities

• Support pupils based on individual needs and skills.
• Assist with planned learning activities and adapt as needed.
• Build positive relationships with pupils and encourage development.
• Provide feedback on progress under teacher guidance.
• Help develop literacy, numeracy and ICT skills in the classroom.
• Support pupils’ personal, social and welfare needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and keep students focused.
• Assist in planning, evaluation and progress tracking.
• Create a fun and supportive learning environment.
• Assist with classroom displays and learning materials.
• Supervise pupils during breaks and trips.
• Support activities such as PE and swimming.
• Follow health, safety and welfare policies.
• Attend training and school meetings as needed.
