Job Description:
You will teach Product Design at KS3 and KS4, with potential to contribute to KS5 teaching as part of a growing post-16 offer. The DT department is well-resourced, with access to industry-standard tools including laser cutters, 3D printers, and CAD/CAM software.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality DT lessons with a focus on creativity, sustainability, and problem-solving

  • Support student projects from concept to prototype, developing technical drawing and manufacturing skills

  • Foster a safe, organised, and inclusive learning environment

  • Lead or contribute to enrichment opportunities such as young engineer clubs or design competitions

  • Liaise with local employers or colleges to inspire career pathways in engineering and design

Person Specification:

  • Degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or related field

  • QTS and experience delivering DT in a school setting

  • Skilled in both traditional workshop practice and digital design tools
