Purpose

The Content Subject Specialist role provides subject knowledge and expertise across various qualifications and disciplines.

Role Specific Services and Expectations

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring assessment materials comply with policies and support accessibility and inclusion.
  • Producing high-quality, comprehensive, and appropriate assessment materials.
  • Advising on subject matter and providing feedback during production.
  • Meeting production schedules and keeping Pearson informed of availability.
  • Supporting assessment material production to meet demand and quality standards.
  • Checking source accuracy and obtaining copyright permissions.
  • Using reputable and error-free graphics and images.
  • Ensuring responses and mark schemes are appropriate and correct.
  • Adhering to specifications and ensuring clarity and fairness in assessment materials.
  • Reviewing, reporting, and marking up comments for revisions.
  • Updating materials and supporting modifications as needed.
Experience and Qualifications Required

Experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the content area, assessments, and curriculum development.
  • Ability to coordinate training and lead quality assurance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching experience and/or extensive knowledge of Pearson assessments and standards within the last 8 years.
  • A UK recognized teaching qualification.

Proof of qualifications may be requested upon successful application.
