Chester Rose Financial Planning is looking for a Training & Development Manager to join our Compliance Team and take a leading role in onboarding, supervising, and developing our Financial Planners, Senior Managers, and support staff.

This is a key role where you’ll directly contribute to maintaining our best-in-class regulatory standards and upholding the culture that sets us apart.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll lead and support training and competence activities across the firm, including:

  • Overseeing onboarding and FCA registration for new Senior Managers, Financial Planners, and (where applicable) support staff.
  • Delivering engaging induction and compliance training, including roleplays and feedback.
  • Designing and implementing tailored development plans and supervision strategies.
  • Monitoring performance and maintaining accurate training records through our CPD platform.
  • Ensuring ongoing competency and Fit & Proper certifications.
  • Reviewing advice cases and providing developmental feedback where needed.
  • Supporting professional qualifications and chartered progression.
  • Maintaining and developing the firm’s Training & Competence scheme and documentation.
  • Providing insightful reporting on KPIs and risk to stakeholders.
  • Supporting learning & development beyond regulatory roles across the business.
  • Maintain close working relationships across the business and its management teams to give learning and development support

What you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in a T&C, L&D, or supervisory role within financial services, ideally in a directly authorised IFA or network.
  • Ideally qualified to Diploma level or close to completion
  • Strong understanding of FCA requirements and regulatory onboarding processes.
  • Confident delivery and coaching skills, with the ability to inspire and engage at all levels.
  • A collaborative approach and a keen eye for documentation, systems, and accuracy.
  • Ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism, fairness, and discretion.

Prior experience in the financial services sector is crucial, with a strong understanding of FCA rules, guidelines, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of compliance within a financial planning environment.
