Systems Engineering and Verification Opportunities - Submarines

Full Time / Part Time

5 Days On-Site - Hybrid working may be agreed.

Location: Derby

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Systems & Verifications Engineers to join Rolls-Royce Submarines. Our Systems Engineering and Verification Engineers are responsible for overseeing our products to meet business, customer, and regulatory requirements. This is an integration role where you will work to enable all engineering teams through coaching and support to develop robust, verified engineering solutions against validated customer requirements.

Hybrid working allows balancing time between office, home, or remote locations, with an expectation to attend the workplace about three days per week for collaboration and specific activities.

What you'll be doing:

• Interface with external and internal stakeholders to elicit and validate requirements.
• Set the Systems Engineering and Verification approach for projects through management plans.
• Ensure rigorous requirements validation and verification to mitigate technical risks.
• Develop verification strategies, plans, and development plans.
• Manage creation of evidence and documentation for project approval.
• Support and coach teams on Systems Engineering, Validation, and Verification activities, promoting best practices.

Who we are looking for:

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of Systems Engineering.
• Experience in the Nuclear industry is preferred but not essential.
• Experience with SE software applications like DOORS / CAMEO.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to work in multidisciplinary teams.
• Proven delivery record with understanding of programme management.
