Hydraulic Systems Technician

Edinburgh area | Full-time | Up to £40,000

We're working with a global engineering company at the forefront of innovation in clean energy and off-highway mobility. Their Edinburgh-based innovation centre is expanding and looking for a Hydraulic Systems Technician to join their growing R&D team.

This is a hands-on, technically diverse role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment. You'll be operating and maintaining hydraulic test rigs, supporting prototype builds, running system performance tests, and playing a key part in developing the next generation of hydraulic technologies for off-highway vehicles.

What you'll do:

  • Set up and run hydraulic test rigs, instrumentation, and data systems

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with hydraulic systems and rigs

  • Analyse test data and help improve system performance

  • Assemble and fabricate prototype systems

  • Support engineers with field testing and product development

  • What we're looking for:

  • Qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Hydraulics or similar

  • Bonus if you've used CAN bus, 3D CAD, or worked with heavy machinery
