About The Business Unit

We help conceive, drive, and implement transport solutions for cities, regions, and asset owners/operators around the globe. From preparing the business case and advising on related issues - such as revenue, procurement, and environmental legislation - to delivering the completed infrastructure and helping maintain it. Our planning, engineering, environmental and management skills cover the whole project cycle. We play a major role in developing and delivering the Global Transport Sector Strategy.

Overview Of The Role

Due to continued growth, the Systems Engineering and Assurance team are recruiting a Systems Safety / RAMS Engineer to join a friendly and dynamic team focussed on delivering systems engineering and safety assurance services to railways infrastructure, energy, and technology projects.

Some of the key services provided by the team include:

  • Engineering Safety Management
  • Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM)
  • Requirements Management
    • System Architecture Development
  • Interface Management and Systems Integration
    • Design Assurance
    • Verification and Validation
The Systems Safety / RAMS Engineer will work alongside experienced professionals within multi-disciplinary teams and will gain experience of using industry standard toolsets on a range of challenging and dynamic projects. In addition to the delivery of project work, you will be expected to work on bids and proposals and get involved with Early Career Professionals (ECP) network.

We are working on a wide variety of UK rail projects from level crossing removals and station upgrades to the largest national railway infrastructure developments. We also provide support to international projects in territories such as Ireland, Canada and Australia to name but a few. As infrastructure projects increase in complexity, there is an ever-increasing need for the application of our services across a wider range of industries, including transportation, energy, and power so we also welcome applications from individuals outside the railways industry to support the growing demand for our services.

The role is based in London / Croydon / Glasgow but other locations will be considered. There will be the possibility of occasional visits to site.
