Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Systems & Process Accountant in London on a 12-month contract, 37 hours per week, hybrid working. The role blends accounting expertise with systems knowledge, owning key finance processes and acting as a subject matter expert for the wider finance team.

The ideal candidate will bring post-qualification experience, strong Oracle Financials know-how (R12), and excellent Excel skills to support month-end close, reconciliations, and data integrity across ERP platforms.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with post-qualification experience.
• Strong ERP experience, especially Oracle Financials.
• Detailed knowledge of Oracle Financials R12 (AP, AR, GL, FA, PA, CM) and Web ADI.
• Proficient Excel and handling of financial data.
• Organised with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Support Oracle period close activities each month and year-end procedures.
• Provide first-line functional support for Oracle Financials and resolve issues.
• Coordinate Oracle sub-ledger reconciliations and data integrity.
• Act as Subject Matter Expert for finance systems and Period Close.
• Provide day-to-day systems and functional support to the Finance team.
• Support Oracle system maintenance and year-end process coordination.
• Maintain master data and ensure data integrity and accuracy.
• Manage cost centre maintenance across ERP, Workday, TM1 and MyTime.
• Support Concur administration.
• Handle cash and bank management, including reconciliations.
• Post payroll to the general ledger and complete reconciliations.
• Build relationships across Finance and Shared Services, liaise with Oracle teams.

Systems & Process Accountant London Hybrid 12-Month Contract 37 Hours per Week

The Opportunity

Are you a qualified accountant with strong ERP and systems experience looking for an opportunity where you can make a real impact?

We are looking for a Systems & Process Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on an initial 12-month contract, providing maternity leave cover. This is an excellent opportunity to combine your accounting expertise with your systems knowledge, taking ownership of key finance processes while acting as a trusted point of contact and subject matter expert for the wider finance team.

You’ll play a pivotal role in keeping finance systems, processes and reporting running smoothly, working closely with colleagues across Finance, Financial Shared Services and specialist Oracle support teams.

This is a hybrid role based in London, offering the opportunity to work flexibly while remaining closely connected to the wider finance function.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Systems & Process Accountant, you’ll have a varied role spanning ERP systems, financial processes, cash management and month-end activities. Key responsibilities will include:

• Supporting Oracle period close activities each month, including additional year-end procedures.
• Providing first-line functional support for Oracle Financials and resolving system and interface exceptions.
• Coordinating Oracle sub-ledger reconciliations and supporting the integrity of financial data.
• Acting as a Subject Matter Expert for finance systems and the Period Close application.
• Providing day-to-day systems and functional application support to the Finance team.
• Supporting Oracle Financials system maintenance and year-end process coordination.
• Maintaining master data and ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Managing cost centre maintenance across ERP, Workday, TM1 and MyTime.
• Supporting Concur administration.
• Taking responsibility for cash and bank management, including reconciliations.
• Posting payroll into the general ledger and completing associated reconciliations.
• Building strong working relationships across the Finance and Financial Shared Services teams.
• Liaising with Oracle support teams and other relevant stakeholders to resolve issues efficiently.
• Supporting other finance systems and process activities as required.

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who combines solid accounting fundamentals with a genuine interest in finance systems and processes.

You’ll ideally have:

• A professional accountancy qualification, ideally CIMA, ACA or ACCA.
• At least one year of post-qualification experience.
• Strong experience and understanding of ERP systems, particularly Oracle Financials.
• Detailed working knowledge of Oracle Financials R12, ideally covering AP, AR, GL, FA, PA and CM, as well as Web ADI.
• Experience of management accounting within a commercial environment.
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data.
• Excellent organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to work collaboratively across Finance and wider business teams.
• A proactive, analytical approach to identifying and resolving systems and process issues.
