Job summary

Genuit Group in Leeds or Doncaster is seeking a Systems Operations Engineer to provide expert support and optimisation for core systems, platforms and cloud services. You will act as an escalation point and own issues through to resolution.

You will analyse existing systems, recommend improvements to boost performance, resilience and efficiency, and author high-quality technical documentation. Ensure systems are patched, secure by design and compliant with policies, while meeting SLAs and

• Strong experience supporting Microsoft Cloud environments, including M365, Azure and Active Directory.
• Experience with cloud and SaaS platforms, including security, identity, email and collaboration services.
• Knowledge of on-premises infrastructure including Windows Server, VMware and storage technologies.
• Methodical, analytical and highly organised.
• Comfortable working under broad direction and taking ownership of complex issues.
• Strong communicator able to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive, adaptable and committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain high-quality technical documentation covering current and future system designs
• Ensure systems are maintained, patched and updated in line with best practice
• Meet SLAs for support, request fulfilment and change delivery
• Support operational projects, owning assigned tasks and deliverables
• Ensure systems are secure by design and compliant with organisational policies
• Produce reports and audits to evidence effective system management

Salary: £41,000 - 81,000 per year
