Job summary

Octopus Energy Group’s OEGEN Data, Tech & Transformation Team seeks a senior engineer to connect disparate systems into a unified Databricks-based environment and to build AI-enabled data products for fund management and finance use.

You'll balance integration workload with building scalable data tools, collaborating with the data platform team to align with the wider estate and office-wide Microsoft 365/SharePoint integrations.

Qualifications

• Strong systems integration experience connecting business systems, SaaS tools and data sources via REST APIs and connectors.

Responsibilities

• Integrate third-party systems and internal tools into Databricks environment via APIs.
• Build data products and reusable datasets consumed via Excel, dashboards and natural-language queries.
• Design and ship internal applications and AI-enabled tools for fund management, asset management and finance teams.
• Prototype, evaluate and productionise new AI capability from document AI to agentic workflows.
• Set up guardrails for access and cost; reuse existing Group capability where possible.
• Collaborate with central data platform teams to keep OEGEN aligned with the wider estate.
