Opportunity in Bristol: System Integration Engineer

Join a leading global 5G wireless company as a System Integration Engineer in Bristol. This role involves delivering innovative functionalities to customers and optimizing next-generation Open-RAN base-station products in LTE and 5G NR Cellular Networks. The responsibilities include:

1. Systems integration for 5G/4G/2G base station products
2. Platform bring-up - BIOS, OS, networking, platform services
3. Integration of complex multi-node, multi-application embedded systems onto Linux GPP-based server platforms (Intel, AMD, Arm)
4. End-to-end full telco stack bring-up, from core network to radio
5. Performance evaluation and analysis

Suitable candidates will have excellent academic backgrounds and proven expertise. You should be able to demonstrate:

• Independent problem-solving skills with strong software expertise
• Effective teamwork and ability to work in a global, multidisciplinary environment
• Willingness to work in a mixed office and lab setting
• Practical experience with Linux architecture and networking
• Experience with Docker containers, ideally in cloud-native deployments

Additional advantageous skills include:

• C/C++ experience with high-performance, real-time applications
• Understanding of wireless or telecom standards
• Experience participating in plugfests or IoT events
• Experience with RF test equipment
