As a Systems Engineer Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of Systems Engineers working on exciting, cutting-edge technologies. The team will handle the design, development, and support of our products.
The Systems Engineer Team Leader will be based at our Barnstaple site. This role offers flexible working arrangements.
The salary for this role is up to £80k, depending on experience.
What you’ll be doing
- 25% Team Leadership and Management: Ensure team members have the tools and equipment needed to perform their roles safely and efficiently. Allocate projects based on business priorities while supporting and empowering team members to grow and develop.
- 25% Business Development Support: Provide technical expertise for business development, including generating proposals and bids. Assist in evaluating new technologies and methods. Support bidding activities through technical work package definition and resource estimation.
- 50% Project Delivery: Lead the delivery of engineering work packages. Oversee system integration, verification, validation activities, and issue resolution. Manage requirements capture, analysis, traceability, configuration, and V&V. Conduct system analyses.

Skills needed
Previous experience in a similar role, extensive knowledge of Verification and Validation, understanding of requirements capture, experience with DOORS, and leadership experience.
