Job summary

Gregory Martin International seeks a Systems Engineering Consultant in the Defence, Space, C4ISTAR and Government sector. Location: Portsmouth or Chippenham with a hybrid work arrangement.

Salary £60,000–£75,000 plus pension, 25 days holiday, life assurance and medical cover. You will lead systems engineering activities, capture requirements, develop architectures, assess options, apply SE methods and deliver artefacts for defence and security projects.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Ability to apply both soft and hard systems engineering techniques to support design and decision making.
• Development and delivery of SE artefacts and methods; knowledge of SE lifecycle.
• Experience building and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.
• Experience in Space Systems, C4ISTAR or Satellite systems is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and leading technical consulting projects.
• Using SE to tackle real world problems and developing novel approaches when required.
• Applying SE methods, tools and artefacts and evolving approaches as needed.
• Working with client teams to deliver high quality SE advice and artefacts.
• Building relationships with clients and identifying new work opportunities.

AsaSystemsEngineeringConsultant

youwillbeworkingwithclientstoanalysetheirproblems;capturerequirements;createarchitectures;identifypotentialoptions;assesssolutionsusingsystemsanalysismethods;andmakerecommendationsbasedonrobustevidence.Projectswilltypicallybeinsupportofresearchandprocurementactivitiesinthedefenceandsecuritysectorbutmayincludeworkinothersectorsandgovernmentdepartments.

YouwillhaveabackgroundpreferablyinSpaceSystemsandC4ISystems,DigitalEngineering,NetworkSystems,Telecommunications,DefenceSystems.
