Job summary

Gregory Martin International invites a Systems Engineering Consultant to join defence, space, and government projects in the UK. You will analyse problems, capture requirements, create architectures, identify options, assess solutions using systems analysis methods, and make evidence-based recommendations for procurement activities.

You will bring experience in Space Systems and C4ISTAR, Digital Engineering, and network/telecom systems, work in a hybrid Portsmouth/Chippenham setting, deliver

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or equivalent experience.
• Ability to apply both ‘soft’ and ‘hard’ SE techniques to support system design and decision making.
• Development, application and delivery of SE methods, tools and artefacts; knowledge of the SE lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Delivering/leading technical consulting projects.
• Applying systems engineering methods, tools and techniques to solve real-world problems.
• Working with customer teams to deliver high-quality SE advice and artefacts.
• Building and maintaining client and stakeholder relationships.
• Assisting/leading in identifying and winning new consultancy work.

AsaSystemsEngineeringConsultant

youwillbeworkingwithclientstoanalysetheirproblems;capturerequirements;createarchitectures;identifypotentialoptions;assesssolutionsusingsystemsanalysismethods;andmakerecommendationsbasedonrobustevidence.Projectswilltypicallybeinsupportofresearchandprocurementactivitiesinthedefenceandsecuritysectorbutmayincludeworkinothersectorsandgovernmentdepartments.

YouwillhaveabackgroundpreferablyinSpaceSystemsandC4ISystems,DigitalEngineering,NetworkSystems,Telecommunications,DefenceSystems.
