Job summary

Elvis Eckardt Recruitment is seeking a Systems Engineer to join an experienced Enterprise Engineering team. You will design, develop, test and support complex communications and IT solutions for defence, government, maritime, and enterprise environments.

Responsibilities include designing networks across remote sites, supporting VoIP and secure infrastructure, and maintaining detailed technical docs. The role requires MoD/government sector experience and strong Linux/ networking skills.

Qualifications

• Degree, HND or HNC in IT, Programming, Engineering or related field preferred.
• Equivalent commercial experience will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Act as in-house technical expert for selected systems, services and apps.
• Support design, requirements capture and development of advanced comms and IT services.
• Design and support customer networks across remote sites, vessels, secure environments.
• Work with VSAT, Starlink, OneWeb, LTE and PoP infrastructure.
• Support traffic shaping, VoIP, systems management and secure networking solutions.
• Produce and maintain detailed technical documentation for new systems.
• Assist Product and Account Management with technical customer meetings and demos.
• Investigate and resolve escalated engineering issues.
• Evaluate new products and technologies before wider deployment.
• Support rollout of new systems across the organisation.
