Job summary

Morson Edge is seeking a Systems Engineer to support satellite communication solutions across land, sea and air domains. The role requires guiding systems engineering activities from concept through retirement, with emphasis on stakeholder needs, requirements, and architecture.

The candidate will engage in modelling, verification, validation and interface management, ensuring a robust lifecycle approach and readiness for UK security clearance as required.

Qualifications

• Must have a broad Systems Engineering background covering business or mission analysis, stakeholder needs definition, system requirements and architecture definition.
• Experience with verification, validation and integration activities across the lifecycle.
• Ability to plan and lead technical and managerial efforts to transform customer needs into a solution.

Responsibilities

• Identify stakeholders and capture their needs and expectations for the solution.
• Define the solution boundaries and elicit/validate requirements across the lifecycle.
• Design and define architectures in collaboration with IS/IT specialists.
• Lead modelling using systems engineering techniques.
• Lead performance and other analyses to support decisions.
• Perform trade-off analyses to choose the best solution.
• Validate architecture and manage interfaces.
• Lead verification of implementation and interfaces.
• Lead operational and in-service evaluation.
• Lead impact analysis of design changes throughout the lifecycle.
