Job summary

Atomic Weapons Establishment is seeking a Systems Engineer to support delivery of engineering activities across programmes. You will apply systems engineering methods to produce high-quality outputs while maintaining safety and performance compliance.

The role requires curiosity, problem-solving and good collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. The role is based at Coulport, near Helensburgh, Scotland, with occasional UK/international travel.

Qualifications

• Qualified apprenticeship or equivalent vocational qualification in a STEM discipline with practical experience.
• Some experience of technical delivery.
• Analytical approach to problem solving and decision making.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Proficiency with standard IT and engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist the delivery of engineering solutions that meet safety and performance requirements.
• Plan and execute tasks to deliver objectives within time, quality and cost constraints.
• Maintain high standards of environment, safety, health, security and quality.
• Apply established systems engineering methods to deliver high-quality technical outputs.
