Job summary

Hackajob Ltd. is seeking an experienced Fire Control Radar Systems Engineer to work on cutting-edge radar platforms, including Typhoon ECRS and Saab Gripen radar systems.

You will contribute to lifecycle stages, applying systems engineering disciplines, DSP, RF, and real-time data simulation to deliver high-performance capabilities for world-class customers in the UK. Hybrid working with onsite presence in the UK is offered.

Qualifications

• Experienced Systems Engineer with radar domain skills.
• Knowledge of MBSE and verification methodologies.
• Experience with RF systems and DSP is desirable.
• Familiarity with radar control and real-time data simulation.

Salary Range:

Systems Engineer £38,000 -£48,000

Senior Systems Engineer £44,500 - £56,000

Principal Systems Engineer £53,500 - £68,000

Lead Systems Engineer £59,500 - £75,000

Where this vacancy is being recruited across more than one grade, the successful candidate will be appointed to a specific assessed grade, and the applicable salary range will be that associated with the grade of appointment.

Leonardo UK operates a grade-based salary framework with broad bands. The salary range shown reflects the approved grade band for this role, or a narrower hiring range published within that band, and is benchmarked against the external market. Exceptions above the standard range are managed through governance controls to protect internal equity.

What you will do as a Fire Control Radar Systems Engineer

You will work on advanced radar systems at various stages of their lifecycle, contributing to one or more of the following programmes:

• Typhoon ECRS Mk0 radar system (electronic scan)
• Typhoon ECRS M-Scan radar system (mechanical scan)
• Typhoon ECRS Mk2 radar system (next generation)
• Saab Gripen radar systems

What you'll bring

We are seeking experienced Systems Engineers with a proven track record with at least some of these essential skillsets:

• Systems Engineering disciplines:
  o Problem definition
  o Systems Architecture
  o Synthetic Environments

  o Verification and Validation
  o System of Systems

• Domain specialisms:
  o Digital signal processing
  o RF systems
