Job summary

Defence is seeking a skilled systems thinker to deliver concepting activities for next-generation combat air initiatives. The role involves eliciting and decomposing requirements, performing architectural work, and collaborating with design teams to balance needs and constraints.

Job description

Salary: £45,000 - 65,000 per year

Requirements:

• Analytical systems thinker with the ability to develop and communicate new concepts and architectures, with an understanding of the requirements and needs that drive the design
• Ability to present to and engage with senior internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to influence and drive a narrative
• Willingness to learn and deliver as part of an agile team
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site 4 days per week due to workload classification
• Must be a British citizen or a dual UK national with British citizenship
• Willingness to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks after offer stage

We are working on a ground-breaking Defence initiative to design and deliver next-generation combat air systems for the Royal Air Force through the Global Combat Air Programme, a partnership between the UK, Italy, and Japan. This role offers the chance to contribute to advanced Weapon Effects Management capabilities that reduce cognitive burden and improve coordination of complex weaponry in the battlespace.
