Job Title: Systems Engineer

Location: Bradford

Salary: £41,500 + £6,000 Shift Allowance + Benefits

Job Description:

We are recruiting a Systems Engineer to join the technical team at one of the country's largest retail operators. You will be a key part of the technical service function at their flagship operations site in Bradford, working 42 hours per week on a Panama shift pattern (06:00-18:00-06:00). Joining an existing technical team of around 60 members, you will operate in an environment known for excellent technical training and expertise.

Your responsibilities include monitoring and managing system software and hardware, identifying and analyzing system, IT, and software issues, deploying software updates, and managing change control. The role also involves commissioning software and completing integration testing.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Linux OS
• In-depth understanding of command scripts (CLI)
• Hands-on experience with databases (Oracle)
• Understanding of programming concepts
• Experience with hardware build and maintenance
• PL/SQL programming skills
• Knowledge of C, C++, and Java
