Permanent Futures Limited is seeking a Systems Engineer to support design, integration, commissioning, and deployment of advanced control and automation systems in diverse real-world applications. You will work across electrical, electronic, software, and mechanical disciplines to create system specifications for automation projects.

The role includes developing LabVIEW applications, integrating multi-disciplinary engineering efforts, and visiting customer sites across the UK to support project

Qualifications

  • Experience working within a systems, automation, controls, or integration engineering environment.
  • Practical experience using LabVIEW.
  • Knowledge of instrumentation, automation, control systems, or data acquisition.
  • Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work across multiple engineering disciplines.
  • Comfortable communicating with customers and internal project teams.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel when required.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver automation and control system solutions.
  • Work closely with software, electrical, electronic, and mechanical engineers on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Develop, maintain, and support LabVIEW applications.
  • Assist with system integration, commissioning, and customer support activities.
  • Create technical documentation, specifications, and project records.
  • Visit customer sites across the UK to support project delivery and commissioning.
