Job summary

Permanent Futures Limited is seeking a Senior Software Engineer with strong LabVIEW development skills to work on exciting R&D projects. You will develop software in LabVIEW for a range of new initiatives and participate in design reviews, integration and validation, while liaising with customers on project software and UI requirements.

The role emphasizes maintainable, extensible, and efficient code, with opportunities to contribute across the full software lifecycle in a collaborative team

Qualifications

• LabVIEW & TestStand experience (CLD desirable).
• Awareness of PXI, CompactRIO, PC and FPGA.
• Some electronic hardware design experience preferred.
• Formal qualification in engineering design (degree or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Design, write and document code that is maintainable, extensible, reliable and efficient.
• Participate in design reviews, including preliminary and critical design reviews.
• Undertake integration and validation.
• Liaise with customers on specific projects and their software, testing and user interface requirements.
• Translate system specification into software module specification.
