What will you be doing?

Alten Ltd, a global leader in engineering consultancy with over 55,000 employees across 30+ countries, is seeking a Battery Systems Engineer to support our clients in the automotive sector. If you have a strong technical background in battery systems and a passion for innovation, we want to hear from you!

Your main responsibilities will be:

1. Provide expertise in battery cell chemistry, understanding what affects performance and longevity.
2. Have the ability to author and understand requirements, in the context of systems engineering.
3. Understand Mechanical Engineering principles in terms of understanding DFMEA's etc.
4. Apply knowledge of EMC considerations in battery system design and implementation.
5. Support battery testing, commissioning, and validation activities.

Qualifications

Experience, skills and qualifications required:

1. Degree in Engineering, Physics, or a related field (PhD preferred but not required).
2. Experience working with automotive battery cells, with an understanding of mechanical, electrical, and systems aspects.
3. Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, including factors that impact performance and degradation.
4. Familiarity with EMC principles and their relevance to battery systems.
