Job summary

Crane Co. systems engineering team in Leicester, UK is seeking a Systems Engineer to contribute to aerospace projects across CPO and NPI opportunities.

You will support documentation generation, requirements management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure quality and timely delivery. The role requires an engineering degree and extensive aerospace systems experience, with a focus on DO160/Mil-Std-810 testing and AS9100/APQP quality practices.

Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline (aerospace, electrical or mechanical).
  • Significant aerospace systems development background.
  • Ability to interpret aerospace specifications, standards and drawings.
  • Knowledge of sector quality management processes (AS9100, GRESS, APQP).
  • Knowledge of environmental test requirements (DO160, Mil-Std-810).
  • Experience with system verification and validation techniques.
  • Comfort working in a high-expectation, delivery-focused environment.
  • Excellent communication with customers and team members; high attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Generate internal and external product/system documentation.
  • Manage configuration of system/product documentation and standards.
  • Manage requirements of multiple system/product programs from inception to destruction.
  • Collaborate with quality, supply chain, and supplier base.
  • Act as point of contact for documentation exchange with customers and suppliers.
  • Develop and advance internal documentation processes, procedures and standards.

The team develops products to support a growing the Aerospace business through both Custom Product Opportunities (CPO) and New Product Introductions (NPI).
