Job summary

Matchtech is seeking a Systems Engineer to join a growing Defence Training & Simulation team. You will contribute across the full Systems Engineering lifecycle, including requirements capture, system design, integration, verification, validation, deployment and customer acceptance on multidisciplinary programmes.

The ideal candidate will operate across the Engineering V-Model, understand the complete system, and support stakeholders through complex integration challenges rather than focusing

Qualifications

• Experience with Systems Engineering lifecycle and V-Model.
• Strong requirements management and system-level thinking.
• Hardware, software and networked systems integration experience desirable.
• Experience in Defence, Maritime, Naval, Mission Systems, Training or Simulation environments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements capture and system design activities.
• Coordinate integration, verification and validation across disciplines.
• Support deployment and customer acceptance on multidisciplinary programs.
• Work across multiple stages of the Engineering V-Model to deliver end-to-end solutions.

I'm recruiting for a Systems Engineer to join a growing team delivering advanced Defence Training & Simulation Systems.

This is an excellent opportunity to work across the full Systems Engineering lifecycle, supporting requirements capture, system design, integration, verification, validation, deployment and customer acceptance activities on complex, multidisciplinary programmes.

We're looking for a Systems Engineer first and foremost. The ideal candidate will have strong Systems Engineering fundamentals and be comfortable working across multiple stages of the Engineering V-Model. Someone who can understand the complete system, contribute to requirements and design activities, and work through complex integration challenges, rather than a candidate whose experience is primarily integration-focused.

Key experience includes:

• Systems Engineering lifecycle / V-Model
• Requirements management and system-level thinking
• Hardware, Software and Networked Systems Integration
• Technical problem solving and stakeholder engagement
• Experience within Defence, Maritime, Naval, Mission Systems, Training or Simulation environments would be highly advantageous.
