The role offers hybrid working depending on project needs and a salary up to £57,000 with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in systems engineering, preferably in defence.
• Experience with requirements management and tools like DOORS, DOORS NG or Rhapsody.
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to stakeholders.
• Experience with engineering change management and complex systems development.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Product line experience is advantageous.

Copello are seeking a Systems Engineer to join the Functional Development team supporting the growing portfolio for a defence organisation based in Bristol on a permanent basis. Reporting to the Chief Systems Engineer, you will contribute across requirements engineering, certification, and programme support, with opportunities to gain experience in multiple areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Derive system, subsystem and software requirements from customer needs.
• Support system design, technical studies and requirements management.
• Contribute to certification activities, including evidence capture, technical investigations and Certificate of Design delivery.
• Support programme delivery, bid activities and stakeholder engagement, including the Poland programme.
• Undertake engineering change management, trade studies and system development activities.

Skills & Experience

• Systems engineering experience, ideally within the defence sector.
• Experience in requirements management and systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS, DOORS NG, Rhapsody).
• Ability to communicate complex technical information to a range of stakeholders.
• Experience of engineering change management and complex systems development.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Product line experience is advantageous.
