The Opportunity

The Analytics & Advisory (A&A) part of our Consulting business is leading innovation through data and technology, enhancing our clients' operations and processes. We provide solutions that derive insights, improve decision-making, and support digital strategy development, transforming clients into leaders in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Systems Engineer to support new workstreams in the Operational Technology market. You will work with a highly skilled team, high-profile clients, and external contractors; therefore, good communication and people skills are essential.

You will report to the Senior / Principal Systems Engineers.

The Role

A&A adopts a flexible, agile approach to systems engineering and embraces new technologies. As a Systems Engineer, you will develop and deliver solutions that meet and exceed client expectations using cutting-edge technology and innovation. Your key responsibilities include:

  1. Working with high-profile clients to establish their requirements and aspirations.
  2. Evaluating appropriate technologies and producing option reports with recommendations.
  3. Driving projects forward by developing innovative solutions to challenging problems in infrastructure.
  4. Developing designs according to client requirements and relevant standards to achieve cost-effective solutions.
What You Will Bring
  • Post-qualification experience in networking technologies, Cyber Security, SCADA, CCTV Systems, Alarm/Access Control, or Public Address systems.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with AutoCAD or Microstation.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and documenting design using industry-standard methodologies.
  • Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status through IET or BSC, or working towards it.
  • Ability to represent Strategic Consulting in multidisciplinary project teams.
  • A good engineering degree or equivalent experience.

Desirable experience includes working in the rail, highways, or utilities industries, experience with bid and tender processes, and participation in design reviews.
