Systems Engineer

Multiple locations - Cumbria, Bristol, Surrey, Portsmouth, Scotland

Salary: £57,500

Clearance Requirement: Due to the nature of the role and the industry you will be working in, you will be required to achieve UK SC Clearance.

Role Overview: We are looking for a Systems Engineer to join us and work on complex systems. You will be part of the SSNA programme and work alongside specialists from electrical and electronic engineering to design and network engineering.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Provide subject matter expertise and advice to internal and external stakeholders on Systems Engineering and Model Based Systems Engineering.
  • Collaborate with other systems engineers and domain experts to determine and agree on the functional capabilities of your assigned systems of interest.
  • Communicate conceptual architectural designs to the appropriate technical authorities to obtain agreement and acceptance.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as specialist engineering teams, MoD, and industrial partners to communicate and clarify the proposed solution.

We are looking for:

  • Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle with experience of operating in the concept/design phase and awareness of the entire engineering lifecycle.
  • A STEM-related degree or previous experience within the Automotive/Defence/Telecommunications/Nuclear environment.
  • Experience working on concepts/designs or early proof of concept.
