Job Responsibilities:

  1. Requirement specification production and management
  2. Interface management
  3. System architecture definition
  4. System functional and interface modelling
  5. Collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and process systems teams
  6. Operating requirements management using database software (preferably DOORS)
  7. Utilization of Model-Based Systems Engineering software (preferably Capella)

Background:

  • Engineer or Senior Engineer level (minimum 3 years experience, 5+ years preferred)
  • Experience in complex regulated industries (e.g., Nuclear, Aerospace) is essential
  • Experience in the Nuclear industry is desirable
  • Background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is acceptable

Qualifications:

  • Degree in engineering or STEM subject is mandatory, or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of systems thinking and systems engineering processes is mandatory
  • Systems engineering training or qualifications are desirable

Additional Skills and Experience:

  • Willingness to transition into systems engineering if demonstrated competence
  • Experience operating Rationale DOORS software is desirable
  • Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering is desirable
  • Awareness of relevant BS or INCOSE standards is desirable

Additional Information:

  • Permanent staff or umbrella contractors accepted
  • UK-based candidates capable of securing SC clearance
  • Hybrid working options available from any UK AEIL office, with preferences for Derby, Glasgow, Sunderland, or Blackburn
