This full-time permanent Systems Engineer role involves working on a project delivering next-generation Electronic Warfare (EW), Radar, or UAS solutions. The role includes performing all engineering activities required to develop a solution/product and ensuring customer satisfaction with the delivered solution/product. It requires knowledge and experience of the full Systems Engineering design lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Demonstrate that the solution satisfies the overall approved operational needs set out by the customer.
  2. Formalise and manage requirements through DOORS.
  3. Assemble solution elements logically and in a controlled manner to evaluate design, behaviour, interactions, and performance to confirm that the design meets requirements.
  4. Formalise specifications and engineering plans used to develop the solution.
  5. Support and undertake IVVQ activities.
  6. Conduct trade-off analysis, modelling, and simulation.
  7. Prepare SE and IVVQ related documentation.
  8. Contribute to Systems Architecture and/or Systems Engineering Management.

What are we looking for?

Skills:

  1. Understanding of System Engineering processes and practices, including knowledge of Systems Lifecycles.
  2. Ability to work with multiple technologies, integrating and verifying them into a system to fully satisfy customer requirements.
  3. Develop and establish collaborative ways of working with stakeholders and disciplines to promote a system-centric approach.
  4. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex technical problems clearly.
  5. Team player with a “can-do” attitude, effective in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  6. Eligibility for security clearance to SC level.

Experience:

  1. Bachelor Degree (BEng, BSc) in a Numerate, Scientific, or Engineering subject or equivalent training and experience.
  2. Proven experience in requirements management using DOORS.
  3. Experience leading or working in IVVQ of solutions/products.
  4. Practical experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods and tools.
  5. Experience with Architecture Frameworks (MODAF, DODAF, TOGAF, etc.).
  6. Knowledge of the engineering lifecycle from concept to testing and updates.
  7. Preference for experience in product line engineering and in domains like Electronic Warfare, Radar, or telecommunications.
