Job summary

A leading global automation manufacturing company is looking for a Systems and Applications Engineer based in North Yorkshire. You will be responsible for delivering customer service in automation systems while ensuring adherence to safety policies and maintaining a professional reputation. Candidates should possess extensive experience in automation, engineering qualifications, and the ability to develop software to meet customer needs.

Qualifications

  • Minimum three years' experience with Automation Systems.
  • Qualified to at least HNC / HND level in a relevant Engineering discipline.
  • Experience with Hima Safety Instrumented System and Functional Safety (TUV).

Responsibilities

  • Provide routine and on-demand customer service including software development.
  • Participate in project delivery for UK-based customers in Power Generation and Process industries.
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies.

Our client, a leading global automation manufacturing company, is looking to recruit a field-based Systems and Applications Engineer to join their team based in North Yorkshire.


Systems and Applications Engineer - The Rewards

Requirements
  • Minimum of three years' experience with Automation Systems, DCS, PLC/SCADA, SRS
  • Qualified to at least HNC / HND level in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Experience with Quality Control Systems (QCS), online measurement devices, and paper machine MD & CD controls
  • Experience with Hima Safety Instrumented System
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety (TUV)
  • Qualified to Bachelor's degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • Experience in identifying business opportunities at customer sites
  • Ability to produce detailed project/service documentation accurately and promptly
  • Skills in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation systems
  • Ability to design, generate, and modify DCS / SIS application software and hardware to meet customer requirements
Responsibilities
  • Provide routine and on-demand customer service, including software development, documentation, and maintenance/inspection of automation systems
  • Participate in project delivery, maintenance, and breakdown services for UK-based customers in Power Generation and Process industries
  • Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Maintain a professional attitude to positively influence the company's reputation through excellent customer service
