Job description

Oracle Systems Lead - Service Delivery Manager - Business Systems Manager - £50,000–£56,000 + excellent benefits - Hybrid (3 days on site) - Birmingham

We’re looking for an Oracle Systems Lead to take ownership of a critical Oracle Fusion estate and the managed service partners that support it.

This is a supplier management role at heart. You’ll be the contract owner and senior escalation point for Oracle and the managed service provider, holding third parties to account against SLAs and KPIs and making sure the business gets real value for money. You’ll run monthly and quarterly service reviews, challenge performance, and drive down ticket volumes through continuous improvement.

You’ll also have commercial and financial responsibility, overseeing budgets, purchase orders, invoices and change control, and making sure licensing stays compliant. Alongside this, you’ll govern the quarterly and monthly Oracle patch and release cycles, coordinating suppliers and the business so everyone is ready and nothing slips.

We’re interested in your supplier governance experience more than your technical depth. You might be a Service Delivery Manager with an ERP background (Oracle or SAP) or a Business Systems Manager who has led strong supplier relationships. Management-level Oracle knowledge is ideal, and experience in public sector would be a bonus but isn’t essential.

Above all, we want a proactive, assertive individual who challenges the status quo, communicates confidently at senior level and be able to deal with difficult situations as they arise. As the application estate grows, so will this role.

The position offers a salary of £50,000 to £56,000 with a great benefits package, and requires 3 days per week on site. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available.
