Business Systems Analyst (SAP B1)

Location: Gamston, Nottingham (3x a week on-site)

Salary: Dependent on experience.

SystemsAccountants is seeking a Business Systems Analyst to support their SAP B1 client. The role involves hands-on support and system improvements, focusing on core business applications supporting wholesale and retail operations. The analyst will be the internal subject matter expert for SAP Business One, CCO, and key integrated systems including eCommerce platforms, WMS, and business analytics. The role requires close collaboration with users, vendors, and the Head of IT to provide support and implement system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide functional support and configuration for SAP Business One and related applications.
• Manage application issues, user roles, permissions, and routine support across business units.
• Maintain and support data integrations between SAP and platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, Proteus, and CCO.
• Coordinate with vendors on escalations and change requests.
• Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), documentation, and training.
• Automate manual processes and implement system improvements collaboratively.
• Identify data gaps and opportunities for better data capture.
• Support project delivery and business change initiatives with the IT team.
• Oversee data validation, issue triage, and system integrations for critical workflows.

Role Requirements:

• Practical knowledge of SAP Business One, including support, configuration, and data workflows.
• Experience with tools like Codeless Platforms BPA, Boyum B1up, and Cindercone Magma.
• Familiarity with eCommerce integrations, WMS, POS, and ERP reporting tools.
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, or retail sectors.
• Understanding of translating business processes into system requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps & PowerAutomate preferred).
• Experience with SQL, ideally in a SAP HANA environment.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Data ETL tools, DAX, or Power Query is desirable.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical users and coordinate with third parties.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
