Business Systems Analyst (SAP B1)

Location: Gamston, Nottingham (3x a week on-site)

Salary: dependent on experience

SystemsAccountants is seeking a Business Systems Analyst for a SAP B1 client. The role focuses on supporting and improving their SAP B1 application, maintaining core business applications supporting wholesale and retail operations. The position is within the IT team, serving as the internal SAP Business One subject matter expert, and involves collaboration with users, vendors, and the Head of IT for support and system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support and configuration for SAP B1 and related applications.
• Manage application issues, user roles, permissions, and support across business units.
• Maintain data integrations between SAP and platforms like Shopify, BigCommerce, Proteus, and CCO.
• Coordinate with vendors on escalations and change requests.
• Assist with UAT, documentation, and training.
• Automate manual processes and implement system improvements.
• Identify data gaps and opportunities for better data capture.
• Support project delivery and business change initiatives.
• Oversee data validation, issue triage, and integrations for critical workflows.

Role Requirements:

• Practical knowledge of SAP B1, including support, configuration, and data workflows.
• Experience with tools like Codeless Platforms BPA, Boyum B1up, and Cindercone Magma.
• Familiarity with eCommerce integrations, WMS, POS, and ERP reporting tools.
• Experience in wholesale, distribution, or retail sectors.
• Understanding of translating business processes into system requirements.
• Experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps & Power Automate) is desirable.
• Experience working with SQL, preferably in a SAP HANA environment.
• Knowledge of Power BI, Data ETL tools, DAX, or Power Query is a plus.
• Strong communication skills to explain system issues to non-technical users and coordinate with third parties.
• Proactive, hands-on approach with problem-solving skills.
