Job summary

Overview

Job: Systems Analyst Functional Support - Electronic Fixed Income

Location: London, UK – travel to office is required

Employment: Full Time

Start Date: ASAP

Functional support / systems analyst with direct interaction to the business users managing their requests and performing incident management, problem solving and driving process & service improvements. Individual contributes to knowledge management and skills development. Working with the technical teams ensures that eBusiness infrastructure and applications are properly working and contributes to the global service quality and improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Functional support is responsible for the delivery and support of IT services to the following Capital Markets Products Line, providing 1st and 2nd line etrading support, incident management and resolution.
  • Trading products to include
    • Bonds (Credit / Govies)
    • Inflation linked
    • Repo
  • Support of Business users according to agreed SLA
    • Management of user requests
    • Investigating & resolving incidents in collaboration with other team members (including Service Managers) and relevant Dev & Platform team members
    • Providing functional and technical help around the relevant systems to users worldwide
    • Participating in problem management with Dev & Platform teams to identify and address recurring problems of supported systems
    • Incident / requests documentation and Knowledge database development
    • Proactively monitor application integrity and performance, including morning health-check and post-deployment monitoring
Contribution to Application lifecycle
  • Working as part of the wider development team.
  • Assisting in the completion and timely delivery of projects
  • Testing, including writing test scripts, for new releases.
  • Assist the tracking of both time and resources on the projects.
Contribution to service improvement and team management
  • Skills development on eCredit & eRates (self-reinforcement, contribution to team upskilling with appropriate trainings and onboarding)
  • Act as a mentor and supervisor for any less experienced members of staff, also participating to junior staff and new joiners training (depending on self-level of skills / expertise)
Role Requirements
  • Degree holder in Computer Science or related discipline
  • The role is front office facing where candidates must be able to speak to front office users to concisely understand their issues and requirements and be able to convert these into solutions.
  • Good understanding of financial markets and products, in particular FI
  • ION Marketview Platform experience is preferable
  • Unix and SQL experience
  • Experience in IT for capital market (business, products, applications)
  • Extensive experience of electronic trading workflows - D2D and D2C
  • Strong experience providing technical support for Fixed Income Desks within an Investment Bank.
  • Experience in IT support and service management
  • Business Analyst skillset also highly valued
  • Candidates will ideally have worked in a fast-moving, high-pressure environment supporting mission-critical applications and/or infrastructure, facing off to demanding customers
