The Role

As an Application Engineer, you'll be responsible for managing web application infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployments, and maintaining system reliability. You'll work remotely with technical teams to optimize application performance and implement best practices for application lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Manage the deployment, upgrade, and removal of web applications across our infrastructure
2. Monitor application performance and implement improvements
3. Maintain and optimize Linux-based systems
4. Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes
5. Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
6. Document technical procedures and maintain system documentation

Required Skills & Experience

1. Proven experience managing web applications in a production environment
2. Strong Linux administration skills
3. Experience with application deployment automation and configuration management
4. Knowledge of web servers (e.g., Nginx, Apache) and application servers
5. Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools
6. Ability to write and maintain shell scripts
7. Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
