Leading edge R&D client requires a Systems Admin (DevOps Infrastructure) contractor (Inside IR35) – initial 6 months plus extensions. The role will require the contractor to be based on-site 3 days per week.

Essential skills include a strong Cisco certification, Palo Alto Firewall experience, and good Server Management & Networking skills.

The contractor will work closely with the DevOps Infrastructure Team in the following activities:

1. Network Management: Oversee Cisco switches, core switching, VLANs, and interconnects.
2. Manage wireless systems and configure firewalls.
3. Server Management: Handle Dell, Intel, and AMD servers, with hands-on experience in Windows (AD, Exchange) and Linux.
4. Maintain VMware ESXi for virtualization.
5. Implement and manage security protocols to ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance.
6. Performance Optimization: Diagnose, resolve issues, and optimize system configurations for peak performance.
