Job description

Sellick Partnership is currently recruiting for a Systems Accountant / Project Manager for a leading professional services firm in Manchester, which has experienced significant growth over the past decade.

The Systems Accountant will lead system development to ensure a robust, value-adding system that enhances data accuracy and supports commercial decision-making. You will oversee ongoing projects across all systems and act as a conduit between finance and IT.

The Role

• Ensure systems operate efficiently and effectively, supporting forecasting and financial reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement of systems and related reporting.
• Provide training to maximize system utilization.
• Develop enhancements to add ongoing value.
• Implement a replacement financial system for Dimensions.
• Ensure processes and procedures are documented, tested, and regularly updated.

This position is suitable for someone with an accounting background and significant experience in delivering continuous improvement projects across finance and reporting systems, with the ability to lead projects and influence senior leadership.

Ideally, candidates will have experience as a Systems Accountant in a professional services organization and hold an accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). However, qualified individuals by experience will also be considered.
