Systems Accountant

We are looking for a Systems Accountant to support our Finance Team.

As a Systems Accountant, you'll be a vital part of the Group Finance team, reporting directly to the Group Financial Controller. This is a highly specialised role that supports the entire function, ensuring a healthy control environment, the smooth running of all finance systems, and a high level of automation through integrations with other finance tools.

The role

1. Netsuite: Managing the control environment, security, roles, permissions, user support, training, and communication. Acting as the key liaison between Finance and IT, overseeing change management, supporting IT controls audits, managing third-party integrations (Solution 7, ExpenseIn, HiBob, Gatekeeper, SquareWorks Automate), and maintaining NetSuite customizations.
2. Finance & Data Support: Providing ad-hoc data analysis, supporting audit data requests, generating financial reports, and assisting FP&A with budgeting and forecasting.
3. Other System Support & Development: Enhancing Excel and VBA processes, using Power Query tools for VAT reporting, and leveraging Python and R to improve financial processes.
4. Proactively solving problems, identifying, and mitigating risks, issues, or control weaknesses in daily operations.

What we're looking for

• Experience with ERP Systems
• Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases
• Strong Excel skills (VBA and Power Query)
• Knowledge of Python and/or JavaScript
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience with NetSuite administration, development, and customization (desirable but not essential)
• Knowledge of HTTP requests and API integrations (desirable but not essential)
• Accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent) (desirable but not essential)
