Job summary

Butler Rose is recruiting an Interim Systems Accountant in Mid Devon to support a major ERP project and drive ongoing system improvements. Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central.
• Work with finance and operations stakeholders to reflect requirements in the system.
• Engage in system testing, including UAT and process validation.
• Identify and resolve issues during the implementation.
• Provide support and training to end users as required.
• Act as finance systems contact during go-live.
• Drive post-implementation optimisation and reporting improvements.
• Support wider finance transformation and continuous improvement projects.

Interim Systems Accountant Job, Devon

Mid Devon Competitive Daily Rate Hybrid Working Available

A well-established manufacturing business in Mid Devon is seeking an experienced Interim Systems Accountant to support a major finance systems implementation project and drive ongoing process improvements across the organisation. Working closely with the Financial Controller and senior finance leadership team, you will play a key role in the implementation and optimisation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring the system delivers maximum value to the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation and configuration of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Work alongside finance and operational stakeholders to ensure business requirements are accurately reflected within the system
• Engage in system testing, including UAT and process validation
• Identify and resolve issues throughout the implementation process
• Provide support and training to end users where required
• Act as a key finance systems contact during the go-live phase
• Drive post-implementation optimisation, identifying opportunities to improve reporting, controls and business processes
• Support wider finance transformation and continuous improvement projects across the business

About You

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• Previous experience in a Systems Accountant, Finance Systems, Finance Transformation or Project Accountant role
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
• Proven track record of supporting ERP implementations, upgrades or optimisation projects
• Experience of systems testing, process mapping and stakeholder engagement
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across finance, operations and senior leadership teams
• Manufacturing sector experience would be preferred
