Job description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to further develop the Family Therapy Service in NHS Forth Valley. We are seeking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic Systemic Family Psychotherapist to work within the systemic sub-specialty of Children & Young People’s Psychological Services. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and skilled clinician to contribute to shaping a service that meets the needs children, young people and their families across Forth Valley.

NHS Forth Valley’s Children & Young People’s Psychological Services is a well-established and forward-thinking service, organised into sub-specialties with psychological leadership and specialist clinical supervision within each area of expertise.

The post holder will provide specialist systemic assessment and intervention to children, young people and their families, with a focus on relational and attachment-based approaches. They will be support the design of the service moving forward and will hold clinical supervision responsibilities.

We are looking for a clinician who is committed to evidence-based, person-centred, and trauma-informed practice, and who can work collaboratively across multi-agency systems.

You will be professionally governed by Psychological Services, NHS Forth Valley, and supported through regular clinical and operational supervision, job planning, and opportunities for CPD. The service supports children and young people aged 0–18 and their families, offering a range of highly specialist psychological assessments and interventions. There are also excellent opportunities to contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.

We have strong links with national bodies and training courses, and regularly offer placements to trainees from Doctoral, EPP, and MSc programmes.
