Job summary

Dunnock View is seeking a part‑time Systemic Family Therapist to provide systemic psychotherapy to individuals and families affected by trauma and mental health disorders.

You will support the multidisciplinary team, contribute to risk management, and facilitate staff development and reflective practice within the Therapies Team.

Qualifications

  • Completed a qualifying course in Systemic Psychotherapy at master’s or doctorate level, accredited by the AFT.
  • Registered with UKCP.
  • Experience working with adolescents and their families presenting with complex mental health needs, high‑risk behaviours and neurodevelopmental conditions in a mental health setting.

  • Conduct in‑depth risk assessments and formulate short‑ and long‑term crisis plans for young people at risk to themselves or others.

  • Manage a complex caseload and facilitate appropriate group work, including carer support groups.
  • Monitor clinical progress through regular reviews of systemic treatment.
  • Engage with young people and their families, drawing upon theoretical and practical knowledge.
  • Support staff development through training, consultation, formulation meetings and reflective practice sessions.
  • Contribute to service development within the Therapies Team and wider service.

Job description

As a Systemic Family Therapist working part‑time (16 hours a week) at Dunnock View, you will provide systemic family psychotherapy to men and women who have experienced trauma and are affected by mental health disorders. Location

Dunnock View is a 42‑bed service providing trauma‑informed care for men and and women who may have suffered trauma and are affected by mental health disorders.
