Job summary

East London NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a fixed-term trainee post in the Child and Young People Psychological Therapies (CYP-PT) Training Programme. The role combines clinical CAMHS practice with a nationally recognised Postgraduate Diploma in Systemic Psychotherapy, undertaken with King's College London.

The post starts January 2027 with approx. 2.5 days weekly for academic work and 2.5 days in CAMHS seeing training-related clients, while employed by the service and enrolled

Qualifications

• Minimum a second-class Bachelor's degree from a UK university or equivalent in a relevant subject (e.g. Psychology, Education, Childhood development, Social Work).
• AND a registerable professional qualification (e.g. as a counselling/clinical/educational psychologist, social worker, counsellor with MBACP Accred, nurse, OT, art/music therapist).

Responsibilities

• Eligibility for shortlisting requires applying for both the trainee post and the KCL Diploma programme.
• Liaise with Course Team to confirm academic requirements during recruitment.
• Meet university training requirements (academic background, relevant experience, visa approval).
