Job summary

Systematic Technology | Elite Global Hedge Fund in London, Chicago and New York is seeking a Trading Platform Engineer to join its Systematic Technology team, building and maintaining a high-performance, low-latency trading platform.

You will work with Traders, Quant Researchers and Software Engineers to ensure stability, observability and automation, and you will own production incidents in a front-office environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Production Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, Platform Engineer, Trading Support Engineer or Trading Platform Engineer.
• Strong Linux systems and troubleshooting expertise.
• Experience supporting business-critical production environments with a strong sense of ownership.
• Strong understanding of monitoring, observability, alerting and incident response.
• Scripting or automation experience using Python or similar technologies.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with front-office stakeholders.
• Experience within trading, systematic investment, market data or other real-time environments is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for a high-performance electronic trading platform
• Monitor system health, trading workflows and platform behaviour in a live trading environment
• Investigate and resolve production issues affecting trading, market data and platform services
• Partner closely with Traders, Quantitative Researchers and Developers to support front-office activity
• Drive incident management, root cause analysis and post-mortem reviews
• Improve monitoring, observability, telemetry and alerting capabilities across the platform
• Build automation and operational tooling to reduce manual processes and improve efficiency
• Support production releases, deployments and platform changes
• Analyse system performance, workflow exceptions and data quality issues
• Contribute to the ongoing reliability, scalability and operational maturity of the trading platform
