Job summary

IC Resources is seeking an experienced System Test Engineer in Southampton to drive automated testing for high-performance wireless and RF systems. You will design scalable test frameworks and validate 5G products from development through deployment, working closely with software, DSP and systems engineers.

The role requires strong Python automation skills, RF test experience, and a solid understanding of 5G/6G standards, with potential exposure to CI/CD and lab automation.

Qualifications

• Experience developing automated test frameworks in Python.
• Experience testing RF or wireless systems.
• Knowledge of 3GPP 5G/6G standards and wireless architectures.
• Ability to define test strategies from system requirements and architecture specifications.
• Experience with system integration, validation and debugging.

The team are now looking for an experienced System Test Engineer to lead the development of automated test solutions across advanced wireless and RF systems.

You’ll work closely with software, DSP and systems engineers, designing scalable test frameworks and validating complex 5G products from development through to customer deployment.

For this System Test Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:

• Strong experience developing automated test frameworks in Python
• Experience testing RF or wireless communications systems
• Good understanding of 3GPP 5G/6G standards and wireless architectures
• Experience using RF test equipment such as spectrum analysers, signal generators or VNAs
• Ability to define test strategies from system requirements and architecture specifications
• Experience with system integration, validation and debugging
• Ideally, exposure to CI/CD, hardware-in-the-loop or lab automation frameworks
