PDS is dedicated to fostering a friendly, open, and inclusive work environment that supports individuals in excelling in their fields. We are continuously seeking ways to improve and believe everyone should enjoy their work.

What we do… We are a technically driven company with over 30 years of experience in engineering and supporting high-integrity control systems, where failure is not an option. Our projects range from small upgrades to fully integrated turnkey solutions, covering technology from control rooms to field devices. We supply advanced technology across the UK to clients mainly in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Highways, Airports, and Power sectors.

If you are a problem solver with excellent communication skills seeking a challenging and rewarding engineering career, consider joining us as a Technician. We aim to deliver seamless end-to-end control systems.

What we need from you

You will be part of our system support department, responsible for preventative maintenance, design, and modifications of SCADA, PLC, and related sub-systems, as well as providing 24-hour emergency support nationwide. We offer on-the-job training and mentoring to help you develop your skills. We are looking for:

  • Practical individuals with some experience or interest in engineering and technology.
  • A team player responsible for planning, procurement, maintenance, and reporting across various sites and sub-systems.
  • Someone who enjoys diagnosing and solving problems and is committed to customer service.
  • Willingness to travel across the UK, including working nights regularly.
  • A full UK driving license and valid passport.
  • No criminal convictions, as security clearances are required by airport authorities.
  • Qualified to NVQ, C&G level or above in Electrical/Electronic or IT engineering discipline.
  • Possess an EU/EEA/Swiss passport for potential work within Europe, if needed.

There is significant room for growth, as evidenced by many of our management team starting their careers with us as students.

What we offer in return

Along with a competitive salary, we provide various benefits, including:

  • 33 floating holidays
  • Paid overtime
  • Performance-related bonus
  • Health & Wellbeing benefits
  • Pension scheme
