Due to our continued growth we are now recruiting for a System Requirements Engineer to be based at our customer's site in Gaydon.Our Embedded Systems Solutions department (ESS) encompasses all activities outlined under the Automotive SPICE (ASPICE) process framework, including systems engineering, software engineering, coding, and all levels of functional testing. Beyond core development, ESS also integrates critical supporting processes such as project management, risk assessment, functional safety, and cybersecurity, ensuring compliance with ASPICE standards and delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality embedded systems & solutions.The Role:We're seeking a technically adept and methodical System Requirements Engineer to lead Level 5 requirements engineering and systems integration for cutting-edge Battery Management Systems (BMS). You'll drive hardware and functional integration of SDU controls, CSC modules, and WGM hardware, ensuring compliance, performance, and traceability throughout the development lifecycle.Area of Responsibility:Requirements Engineering· Define, decompose, and manage Level 5 system requirements for BMS functional and hardware components· Ensure traceability across architectural levels, safety requirements, and customer specifications· Coordinate with verification teams to define test cases and support validation planningFunctional Integration· Integrate control functions across SDU, CSC, and WGM domains into a coherent system architecture· Facilitate interface management and signal mapping across hardware and software components· Ensure system-level consistency and compatibility across mechanical, electrical, and control domainsHardware Delivery Oversight· Oversee development and delivery of hardware components such as cell supervision circuits, wiring harnesses, and gateway modules· Align hardware implementation with functional safety and quality standards (ISO 26262, IATF 16949)· Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams for timely delivery, documentation, and integrationLifecycle Support & Compliance· Support DFMEA/PFMEA activities to assess and mitigate risks across BMS functions· Participate in technical reviews, audits, and change control processes· Drive compliance with design controls, safety norms, and regulatory expectationsKnowledge / Experience
