We are recruiting System / Principal Engineers and Technical Directors for a growing Engineering Safety Consultancy with a specialist interest in Maritime, Naval, Nuclear, and Submarine sectors.

System Engineers – Mid-Level to Senior

Responsible for delivery across complex, hazardous projects in highly regulated fields such as nuclear, maritime, aviation, or ordnance. Capable of leading small teams and working independently, with strategic thinking and quality assurance skills.

The Job Duties

1. Empower teams of engineers to deliver technical aspects of projects.
2. Collaborate with minimal supervision.
3. Undertake activities as directed by Technical Directors and Principal Engineers.
4. Conduct complex technical investigations.
5. Communicate project outcomes to stakeholders.
6. Provide technical guidance to peers.
7. Maintain excellent customer relations and quality assurance.

Principal Engineer

Responsible for leadership and delivery across complex projects, managing talented teams, and providing strategic insights. Requires a proven track record and the ability to transfer skills to new technologies.

The Job Duties

1. Direct and motivate staff.
2. Manage complex technical projects.
3. Guide engineers and seek development opportunities.
4. Use evidence to inform and influence projects.
5. Communicate proposals and outcomes.
6. Identify market opportunities and mitigate risks.
7. Qualifications include at least a BEng degree, recognition as a Technical Expert, Chartered Engineer status, and membership in a UK Professional Engineering Institution.

Technical Director – Nuclear/Maritime/Aviation

Leads talented teams, with experience in senior management, strategic planning, and delivering complex projects. Demonstrates strategic thinking, leadership, and strong communication skills.

The Job Duties

1. Plan and organize staff activities.
2. Provide leadership for business continuity.
3. Manage and develop staff.
4. Influence strategic policies.
5. Liaise with the Board to ensure strategic delivery.
6. Qualifications include a BEng degree, postgraduate knowledge, Chartered Engineer status, and 15+ years of experience in a regulated discipline.
