Job summary

Anglian Water Services seeks a System Planner to join the Water Asset Delivery Planning Team. Hybrid roles across Hartlepool and Norwich will hinge on building stakeholder relationships, identifying current and future risks, and developing Dynamic System Plans from source to tap.

You will lead workshops, analyze data from systems and site visits, and help shape a Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP) and the PR29 Business Plan while complying with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Experience using Excel and PowerBi, and investment costing programs such as Copperleaf C55.
• Pro-active self-starter able to work within guidelines.
• Advanced data reporting skills.
• Knowledge of the Water industry desirable but not essential.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• An appreciation of safe operation and design.

Responsibilities

• Creating and maintaining Dynamic System Plans, from source to tap.
• Strategically bring together key stakeholders and capture data from corporate systems and site visits to provide risk and cost information.
• Leading workshops with various stakeholders to understand current and future risks and identify how these might be resolved.
• Generate initial root cause statements, evaluation of risks and creation of solutions to produce investments from the system plan for prioritisation.
• Working with key stakeholders and business experts to support regulatory requirements to produce a Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP) and the PR29 Business Plan.
• Working with safety in mind for yourself, your stakeholders and the assets under your care.

It will create over 7,000 jobs and meet the unique challenges facing our fast growing and climate stressed region, helping the East of England to thrive and prosper. To turn this plan into action, this role is vital within our Asset Delivery Planning team to make the investments and improvements outlined in the business plan happen by further developing them with stakeholders and construction delivery partners.

What you will be doing?

As a System Planner, within the Water Asset Delivery Planning team, your key purpose will be to build relationships with stakeholders byidentifyingcurrent and future risks, and investment opportunities. You will provide effective resolutions, by using information from data systems, sitevisitsand stakeholder workshops. You will also create Dynamic System Plans which helpidentifyfuture investments to mitigate these risks, understand business and regulatory requirements to ensure investments are providingoptimumbenefit.

Key tasks include:

Creating andmaintaining‘Dynamic System Plans’,as a system of physical assets, from ‘source to tap’.Dynamic System Plans encompass all water assets and activities from abstraction, treatment,distributionand supply through to the customer’s tap.

Strategically bring together key stakeholders and capture data from corporate systems and site visits to provide risk and cost information to support investment planning process.

Leading workshops with various stakeholders to understand current and future risks andidentifyinghow these might be resolved.

Generate initial root cause statements, evaluation of risks and creation of solutions to produce investments from the system plan for prioritisation.

Working with key stakeholders and business experts to support regulatory requirements to produce a Water Resource Management Plan (WRMP) and the PR29 Business Plan.

What does it take to be a System Planner?
